Biomorphic Audio

What if a headphone felt like it was tailor-made just for you, almost an extension of your body?

That principle guided us along every step of the design process for SHADOW. The biggest problem with many headphones is comfort. What fits one person is uncomfortable for another. We had to start from scratch to make shadow feel like an extension of your own body, make them more human. Taking a user-first approach...we built many prototypes, and went through many rounds of testing and asking users what they wanted from a wireless headphone.

We looked deep at anatomy, studied the contours of the neck, measured the curvature of many necks The result was a different type of platform. Completely flexible and built with medical grade materials to support a design that feels natural next to the skin, and can adapt to fit any neck. The end result we called “biomorphic fit”.
