Sound that fits anywhere
Making the leap from a reputation headphones to the brands first speaker, meant it needed to have something special to set it apart. Ultimate portability, that featured a category re-defining UX and a bold graphic facade.
We did everything we could to craft a low-profile shape that elegantly encapsulates the technology inside. Deck’s slim speaker architecture allowed it to easily slide into a pocket, purse, or bag. Audio is directed upwards allow great listening enjoyment from any angle.
Punk, it’s smaller cousin was meant to show off it’s playful side of the design language with a slightly more organic form language, and a tactile focus.

Fluid Sharing
The team came up with a new way to make sharing music more social, Heist mode, which made it easier and more fluid to swap music between listeners. I led the team to develop and define the entire experience around this technology and its expression through physical controls and sensory cues like lighting and sound design.
PUNK

In creating a design language for the speakers that was all about having them feel good in the hand, we also thought deeply about what the best hardware user experience would be.
Ultimate tactility, one-handed operation for all the buttons. And the ability to mount it anywere.
